Dear President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III,
One of the major problems in our environment here in the Philippines is the fish kill. Recently, there was a fish kill that happened in Taal Lake. The ECOLOGICAL COLLAPSE is the main cause why it happened. Because of the overpopulation of the fishes, there was a competition in getting their needs especially the food they eat. There was no more place to live in and space for other fishes. One of the causes is also the introduction of kind of species that are not native in Taal Lake.
One of the solutions that we think that can be effective is joining in projects that aims to take care of the lake and the fishes. We also think that making posters, using the internet (facebook, tumblr, twitter etc.), cellphone devices (by texting) will also encourage people. I hope people will not throw garbages in the lake because it can also cause the death of the fishes.
Another thing that we are worried about is the devastation brought by the floods. And the number one cause is the illegal logging of the trees. Please help us to encourage people to do the selective logging. People must just choose the old ones and replace into a new one. We all know that trees are very important because this is where we get our primary needs.
The decreasing number of geckos is also a problem in our ecosystem. People trade them which is illegal. Geckos also have an important role in the ecosystem. They control the population of insects by eating them. We believe that having projects and activities will help.
I hope that you can help us Mr. President. We can all be a leader-a leader that can make a change.

Let’s take a look on what happened in the past. Do you still remember the earthquake in Japan and the floods and landslides because of typhoon Ondoy and Sendong? All of these gives an idea on why we must study about the environment.Simply,we are also part of it.
The reason is to know the ways on how to take care of our environment and how to prevent happenings like what happened in the past.
A variety of environmental problems now affect the entire world. As globalization continues and the earth’s natural processes transform local problems into international issues, few societies are being left untouched by major environmental problems.
We are integrally linked with all living things on our planet. However, recent events show our day-today existence severely impacts the biosphere that we share with all other organisms.
